Mechanical Engineering: Design Engineering Disasters and How to Avoid Them

This course introduces students to important aspects of the engineering design process. Particular focus is paid to reduction of risk and prevention of failures in the context of the design process. The engineering design process is presented and applied using a group project where students evaluate an existing design or product and generate improvements to an aspect of the design.
