The Evolution of Nursing Knowledge

This combined theory and practice course focuses on historical and contemporary dimensions of nursing knowledge through a critical examination of elements of nursing philosophy, nursing epistemology, the nursing metaparadigm and nursing theory. The relationship between nursing knowledge and evidence based practice is explored. Students apply course content in selected clinical settings. This course is given in one term. PREREQ: NURS 2276.
