Radiation Science 3 - Treatment Planning I
In this course, the learner builds knowledge of fundamental physics theory upon which radiation therapies are based and learns how to apply this knowledge to patient treatment situations. Topics include photon and electron external beams, 2D beam modification and monitor unit calculation methods for standard and non-standard planning situations. The learners will design and analyze isodone distributions for basic techniques, using clinical radiation treatment planning principles. PREREQ: RADS 2006, RADS 2206, RADS 3627. COREQ: RADS 3206, RADS 3416. (lec 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both RADS 3106 and RADS 3105.
