Reason and Experience in Early Modern Philosophy

This course examines representative works of the 17th and 18th centuries, including philosophers such as Descartes, Spinoza, Leibniz, Locke, Berkeley, and Hume. Two main trends are distinguished: rationalism and empiricism. Enlightenment thinkers such as Kant may also be considered. (lec 3) cr 6.
